Deal And Betteshanger Lions RFC are very pleased to announce that we are going into the 2016-2017 season as a Saracens Partner Club. This brings a lot of benefits to our club.

The partnership is beneficial to the whole club with benefits to junior and mini players as well as coaches from U7s through to the senior sides.

Junior Rugby

The junior section will be invited to take part in the match parade on Derby Days .

The juniors (minis) will also be invited to play at festivals at Allianz Park before Premiership games on a Saturday.

Coach Education Programme

The Saracens Coach Education Programme is designed to aid coaches. Over the last few seasons Saracens have identified the need and demand for access to a high quality Coach Education programme. The idea behind the programme is to continually provide club coaches and school teachers with increased knowledge and new ideas to make the standards and participation levels of as high as possible for players throughout the community. During 2014-15 the Coach Education Programme interacted and help facilitate the development of over 1600 coaches and teachers, providing them with new ideas implemented by the Saracens Academy and First Team.

Club Coach Evenings

Club Coach Education sessions take place on an evening at Deal & Betteshanger rugby club working with a range of age group coaches. Saracens give the coaches participating a chance to take part in practical games and drills led by Saracens Rugby Development & Coach Education Manager, Lewis Sones, providing a foundation to develop individuals coaching techniques by showcasing the evening with fresh content and hands on experience.

Senior Rugby

Senior players are going to be invited to take part in the 'Sevens and the City' event taking place in London - this is organised by David Strettle (Saracen's and England) and Matt Stevens (ex-Saracens/now S.A. Sharks and England) and has been running for the past few years.

General

Saracens can support the club by supplying raffle prizes such as match day tickets.

We can now offer discounted tickets to our club members for Saracens matches, including the game at Wembley Stadium.

We can use their logo on print and online material.

Player visits

Saracens will do their best to encourage players to visit us if they were in the Kent area

Why Saracens?

The RFU allocate counties to Premiership Rugby Clubs, Saracens provide partnership to Kent clubs.
