Before the game, the Canterbury Captain explained that they had included some second team players as not all their 3rd team were available . This was accepted and the game started .
It was an explosive start by the good Lions Team and after an excellent try by Fly-half Marriott, further tries came in quick succession from the experienced Wes Bull and swift Carl Thatcher .
Canterbury were clearly rocked by this wave of scoring and the game continued with intensity .
Towards the end of the half, the pressure told and Bull scored again.
After the interval, the Lions continued to press . The useful blend of experienced players such as Gary Dixon, Stuart Adcock and Wes Bull and allied to some keen and swift young players, is proving to be a successful combination.
Further tries came from the forceful Thatcher and a very well-worked score, finished by Adcock .
Finally, the pack touched down again and it was converted by Connor Moss, making a welcome return from injury. Another encouraging game !
The Court Yard 2nd XV Man of the Match was awarded to Wes Bull
