Under 15s - 27 Vs Thanet 27
Thanet kicked off. The Lions were able to gather the ball easily and quickly fed the ball to Nye on the wing. He ran from deep in his own half and scored a great solo try in the corner. Undeterred Thanet immediately replied with a try of their own in the corner. Both tries were unconverted.
Under 14s - 10 Vs Ashford 46
Another 4 followed in the second half against a tiring physically smaller Deal and Betts team. Rays of hope coming from a quickly taken penalty by Joseph Michael, feeding Eoin McGrath to crash over for our only first half try. An excellent break by fly half by Ben Ebben backing himself for the dash to the line scoring Deal & Betts second half try.
There was some resounding defence by the forwards and good covering from the home back three, all building blocks for the future .A special mention for Eoin McGrath swapping positions to help his team and still leading the tackle count a well deserved home Player of the Match.
Deal : Bigginton, Morris, Sampson, McGrath, Murray, Mashford, Tamang, Amoss, Michael, Ebden, Hall, Kaplan, Cockin, Brayne, Thatcher, O'Mahoney.

Club Welfare Officer 2010/2011
Applications Invited for Position of Club Welfare Officer for 2010/2011 Season.
The Club’s Directors are currently seeking a suitably responsible volunteer to take on the role of Club Welfare Officer for the 2010/2011 season.
Paula McLachlan, who has undertaken this work superbly on our behalf for a number of years, is looking to step down at this year’s AGM, and a club member to replace her in this very important role is therefore now being urgently sought. Full training will be given to the successful candidate.
