An enthralling game at the Drill Field on Saturday was settled in favour of the visitors courtesy of a penalty two minutes from time.
Coach Wiggins admitted it was a match his side could have won, adding: “It’s a game we lost rather than they won. We just made some basic errors which were costly.
“Uncharacteristically we were outscrummaged but we played some good rugby. We are developing a style of play and you can see it coming. At times it’s looking good but then we give a silly penalty away. ”
The Lions scored three tries through Juan Vila Bautista, their Argentinian scrum-half, Dan Atkinson and Luke Armstrong, with Connor Moss adding two conversions and a penalty.

The Lions have now lost four of their six matches but Wiggins said: “We’re upbeat about the situation. We know we’ve got a few areas to work on but the good thing is that there are no glaring gaps, just things we need to tweak.”
Lions travel to next-to-bottom Bromley on Saturday. Their opponents have lost all six of their games but Wiggins has warned his players against complacency.
He added: “When you get a team in this position, at some point something will go right for them, let’s just make sure it’s not this Saturday.”
