Brian “Brough” Brown Joined Deal Wanderers RFC one year after it was formed in 1959. He was the son of a local butcher who had a shop in Western Road. He attended Sir Roger Manwoods School and went on to work for the TSB, and It is understood he started the TSB Unit Trust and ended up as the Managing Director. Although he moved away he always remained a staunch supporter of The Wanderers and then the Lions.
He lived in Stockbridge but on the odd occasion he returned to Deal he always made contact with old friends.

It is very sad that we heard of his death too late to attended his funeral. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
