This years Natwest Rugby Force Weekend is the 24th - 25th June and we are seeking volunteers to undertake some projects

"Volunteers are not paid – not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless."

Our main project to be undertaken will be to further extend the patio area to cover the area to the right of the clubhouse as you look from pitch side with the view of providing an extended seating area. We are already seeking materials to get this work underway.

The club will be submItting this project to the Rugbyforce online portal to be in with a chance of a rugby Legend attending the club on that weekend to get stuck in with other volunteers to help reach our goals.

We would also look at having further groups of volunteers in undertaking other tasks such as

  • Painting the Changing Room Areas
  • Painting some of the external Fascias that have weathered over this season
  • General Ground keeping etc

Some of the clubs directors attended a workshop at the end of last month for which has already entitled us to £500 towards the weekend in funding the projects

Saturday 24th June sees the British and Irish Lions take on the All Blacks - Kick Off 8.35 am which we will be televising and serving Breakfast so will get the weekend off to a great start.

We will be putting on refreshments both Saturday and Sunday and the intention is to have a barbeque on both days so would see this as being a great "Club" Weekend.

The Club directors will be putting further detail together in the planning of the weekend but please spread the word as we would love to see as many volunteers as possible from all sections of the club to make light work of the tasks.

To gauge interest and to allow us to develop the work groups please could you email steve castle at the following address stevecastle88@btinternet.com. We obviously wont to ensure we can assign the right tasks to the right people.

Whether you can spare an hour, half a day or more your help will be greatly appreciated
