The 2016-17 Kent RFU Volunteer Awards are open for nominations and we are inviting our club members to make a nomination

The Kent RFU volunteer Awards, voted for by members of Kent RFU Clubs. Nominees and their plus one will be invited to join us on Wednesday 7th June, from 7pm at Shepherd Neame Brewery, as the County celebrate those within rugby who are responsible for ensuring Rugby can be played every week in Kent.

These awards are to recognise those who volunteer in rugby and can be coaches, administrators, referees, medical support, social organisers and committee members.

Any club member can make a nomination in any of the relevant categories listed below

No supplementary information or photographs will be accepted.

The closing date for receipt of nominations is Friday 31st March 2017

The award categories are

  • Mini Rugby volunteer of the year
  • Junior Rugby volunteer of the year
  • Girl's volunteer of the year
  • Young Rugby Ambassador of the year (YRA are aged 14-24 http://www.englandrugby.com/my-rugby/volunteers/young-rugby-ambassador/)
  • Student Volunteer of the Year
  • Women's volunteer of the year
  • Men's volunteer of the year
  • Spirit of rugby award (For schools participating in the all schools award & schools whom are promoting rugby within the school timetable)
  • Kent RFU President's Award (Unsung hero of the year)
  • Wheelchair Rugby

Kent Volunteer Awards 2017 nomination guidelines.

The overarching theme is to identify and reward outstanding volunteers within Kent.

Any club member can make a nomination.

In choosing the recipients of the Awards, regard is given to the nominee’s achievements in the year immediately prior to receiving the award, as well as their past achievements and ongoing contribution to rugby union within Kent.
