Vigo are a good side and their strong players produce direct and forceful attacks .
The Lions started quite well but very quickly Vigo started to gain ascendancy and scored a good try . Gary Fisher kicked a good penalty and the first half of the game was very even, with the score 12 – 11 to the Visitors .
The Lions started brightly in the second half and with the forwards securing some good ball, Scrum-Half Ben Ellis fed the backs and the Vigo defence was stretched .
Fisher kicked another penalty and Billy O’Neill in the centre produced an excellent attack from 30 metres out and made a decisive score with his speedy and strong running .
The Lions scored another good try from pressure and a well-refereed, good match was completed .
