Deal and Betteshanger u9’s travelled to a very wet, muddy and cold Folkestone tournament on Sunday 26th March.

The lions entered two teams into the tournament…..

Lions Green team played 4 games winning 3 of them and narrowly losing to Canterbury in the last game.

Lions Red team also played 4 games and with a slow start on a very wet pitch they lost 2- 1 in game one. Then went on to win their next 3 games.

We as coaches couldn’t ask for anything more, everyone played extremely well in the horrible weather conditions.

Winning 6 out of 8 games shows how hard our players have worked this season in there first year of contact rugby.
