Name; Carl Thatcher “Thatch”

Next Season’s Team Coach; U9’s

Carl moved to Deal aged 12 and has spent his years here since, a true Deal boy in his heart! Thatch lives with his Wife and 2 Children, both of whom play at the Club, Harison at U9’s, and Ariya in the Cubs.

Educated at Sandwich Tech, he then went on to work for local firm PAH before moving to Walker Construction, where he still works now as a Project manager on the rails.

Carl love’s Fishing, Shooting, and of course Rugby!
.
His Rugby journey started at Deal & Betteshanger RFC and after moving into Colts, he was then playing regular first XV Rugby aged 17.
.
Carl’s coaching started when he picked his sons Team up at U7’s where he remains. He is excited about the season ahead going in as U9’s.
