"I am honoured and proud to have been awarded the position of President of Deal and Betteshanger Rugby club.
I started many years ago as an avid supporter and spent 7 years as 1st Team co-manager. A role which I have thoroughly enjoyed.
I get a lot of pleasure from being part of the team, so much so, that, last year, having retired from the management role, I volunteered to run the line. Unfortunately, I was involved in a collision with 2 players, resulting in my leg being broken.
I now look forward to still having an active role in the club, without being on the pitch.

My intention is to represent Deal and Betteshanger whenever I can, at home and away. I am proud of our club, all the teams, from the mini’s up to the Seniors and the women's sections.
As a club we are fortunate to have great coaches and directors. We all have a part to play in the reputation of our club, in training, before during and after matches, as players, supporters and volunteers.
We have an amazing club and facilities. Let us all support or teams and help us continue to thrive."
