Danny Writes

"I’m really looking forward to be coming back to where it all started for me at Deal and Betteshanger. Pre season is starting on the 1st July, the sessions are going to be challenging but also enjoyable. Pre seaon to me isn’t about just running and running, of course fitness/conditioning is a big part of it but also building relationship’s with each other, working on strengths and weaknesses and game understanding.

Ollie Best and myself are on same page when it comes to game plan and style of play. I’m looking forward to working with Ollie, we both played together for Deal and Betteshanger and Kent at age group.

The last 5 years I have been at Canterbury as a player/coach, I've been coaching the scrum and forwards attack detail. I’m looking forward to a new challenge at Deal and Betteshanger.

I’ve been down the club a few times to coach the colts and watch them play and I was impressed! It will be good to get them lads in the mix pushing for a 1st/2nd team shirt!"

This promises to be an exciting season for the Lions and we wish Danny, Ollie and all the Coaching team the greatest of success.
