Hope for Tomorrow is a dedicated charity, bringing cancer care closer to patients’ homes via their Mobile Chemotherapy Units (MCUs).
As a cancer charity, they understand that time is a crucial factor for patients, and in 2007 they launched the world’s first ever MCU to bring vital cancer care closer to patients, enabling them to spend more time with family, friends and loved ones.
they develop, build, provide and maintain MCUs to support patients who are going through Chemotherapy by alleviating the stresses and strains of travelling for appointments, along with reducing hospital waiting times.
Their 5th MCU was launched in 2013 and is operated by East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. The MCU is named "Caron" in memory of their Charity Patron, Gloria Hunifords daughter Caron Keating who sadly passed away from Cancer.
Deal and Betteshanger RFC are pleased that we can offer our Car Park as a location for the MCU to park up and ,along with its High Skilled Staff, treat patients in the area.
The MCU has saved patients over 218,000 miles of travel in three years of operation
There will be collection buckets at the club this weekend so please dig deep and give as much a you can to this worthwhile charity.
