This weekend saw the club host both the youth and senior presentation nights official marking the end of the 2018/19 season.

The Board of Directors would like to thank everyone for their support throughout the season

The list is endless and in no particular order:

  • To all the players who take pride in wearing the Lions Shirt and maintain the Rugby ethos of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship.
  • Thank you to the sponsors who have sponsored the teams from the mini's right through to the 3rd Xv and the Lionesses as well as provide much needed funds and Resources in improving our facilities.
  • To the parents/grand parents/guardians who gave up their Sunday and, on occasions, Saturday morning lie ins to brave all weathers ensuring their children got to play Rugby
  • To all the coaches who gave up their time in getting the best out of the players at all ages.
  • To all the volunteers and staff who, behind the scenes, put in countless hours trying to ensure the club runs smoothly.
  • To all the Bar staff who have put in long shifts to keep both players and supporters alike well watered.
  • To all the kitchen staff and Junior waiters for providing much needed sustenance on match days and club event.
  • To the wives and girlfriends for allowing the men to maintain their testosterone levels in having their "Rugby Time".
  • To everyone who attends events and supports us in raising much needed funds.

Without you all we wouldn't have the Rugby Club we have

Although the Rugby season is finished the club will not be dormant as there is a lot going on throughout the summer. Keep your eyes on our website and social media sites for information.

In the meantime we wish everyone a fantastic summer and look forward to seeing you throughout the coming months and next season.

Be proud of who we are ....be proud to be a part of Deal and Betteshanger RFC

On behalf of the Board of Directors
